In March 1987 the Washington State Historical Society published the inaugural issue of a new, popular history quarterly, COLUMBIA: The Magazine of Northwest History. Now, 80 issues later, the Society is celebrating the magazine's 20th anniversary with an exhibit that tells the story of how COLUMBIA came to be and looks at the incredible technological changes that have taken place in magazine production and printing over the past two decades.
